Meet your Clinical Director
Paola Egusquiza
Founder & Clinical Director
Paola Egusquiza is the founder and Clinical Director of Peel Autism Services, bringing over 25 years of dedicated experience in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder. She initiated her professional career in Peru as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the University of Sacred Heart. In 1998, she advanced her expertise by pursuing a Master of Education at the Pedagogical University José Varona in Havana, Cuba, where she developed a pioneering Early Intervention Treatment Plan focused on enhancing communication in children with autism through the application of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Her clinical expertise was further honed at the Pediatric Hospital Juan Manuel Márquez, where she served in the Psychiatry Unit working with individuals with autism presenting severe behavioral challenges, implementing evidence-based behavior modification strategies to effectively replace problematic behaviors. Relocating to Canada in the early 2000s, Mrs. Egusquiza contributed as a special education classroom educator before transitioning to clinical roles as an autism consultant and clinical practitioner at Erinoakkids Treatment Centre and Development, Prior Lynder and Associates, and Hope Autism, where she held the position of Clinical Coordinator and Senior Autism Consultant. Under her leadership, Peel Autism Services has forged strategic collaborations with numerous Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment centers and school boards across the Greater Toronto Area. Mrs. Egusquiza and her multidisciplinary clinical team have been instrumental in delivering individualized, evidence-based interventions and comprehensive behavioral assessments, significantly enhancing the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families. Recognized as a passionate advocate and an accomplished clinical practitioner, Mrs. Egusquiza is committed to advancing the field of autism treatment.
